DRAWING FROM THE PAST
By Steve Gibson
Drawing is the foundation by which all two and three dimensional art works are built upon, it is an essential foundation for the successful traditional artist as well as the modern airbrush artist. This article is just as much about the correlation between drawing and airbrush painting as it is a step-by-step of a sheep’s skull.
AIN’T JUST “WASTIN’ AWAY’
By Chris Johnson
All artists go through periods of ‘creative struggle’ from time to time. Instead of just ‘Wastin’ Away,’ Chris Johnson rose to the occasion and delivered a beautiful summer-themed helmet that this July–August issue couldn’t live without.
By Rod Fuchs
The longer you paint, the more projects end up on the back burner or in the “someday” file. When an opportunity presents itself, I like to pull one of those ideas out, dust it off, and give it a try. PINSTRIPING FROM THE VAULT
By Jon ‘The Harpoon’ Haprov
Enjoy this ‘classic’ pinstriping how-to by Jon ‘The Harpoon’ Haprov. Unfortunately, this piece did not make the cut in 2005’s book, Pinstriping Masters II. Fortunately, the new publishers found it, and approved! At the time of publication, we have not heard back from Jon, but we sure hope he is doing great, and making amazing art! With any luck, Jon will see this and hopefully feel imspired to paint an updated piece for a soon-to-be Airbrush Action mag!
